The Reference Audio 40 series XLR cables feature professional, gold-plated Neutrik XX-14 connectors. These connectors are durable and reliable, which is why they are the XLR connectors of choice for professionals around the world. They are specifically designed to work with QED’s proprietary technology, which uses three conductors instead of two in the cable, adding a conductor responsible for draining all types of noise and interference from the cable that could adversely affect the signal. The Reference Audio 40 series XLR cables also feature a special ferrite shield that absorbs high-frequency interference. Tests using specialized measuring equipment have confirmed that the use of a special Zn/Mn ferrite shield allows for a more focused signal path. This has a beneficial effect on the micro-timing of the audio signal.
