This very useful accessory enables charging of a smartphone with Qi wireless charging standard. Wireless charging is a technology that allows charging over short distances without cables. The advantage of wireless charging is that it’s quicker and easier, as you don’t have to plug and unplug each time – you just place your device on top of your KCE-3QI. There are various competing standards for wireless charging. The most popular is Qi (pronounced ‘chee’), which has been supported by all of the major phone manufacturers.

The KCE-3Qi wireless smartphone charger was mainly developed for the Alpine Style systems for Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Vito. These systems have already prepared attachment points for the KCE-3Qi to make installation very simple. The product is also useable with many other vehicles as universal solution.

You can wirelessly charge any smartphone that features the Qi wireless standard (such as the iPhone 8, iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9 and many more). The charger uses an internal 3-coil system. The benefit is that the phone can be placed on the charger, without paying attention to find the actual “charging sweetspot”. This is a big benefit especially in the car environment, where the phone may slide slightly while driving curvy roads.
